Creamy Banana Rice
The recipe is suitable for ages 12 months and above.
2 cups (500 ml/16 fl oz) milk
½ teaspoon vanilla essence
¼ cup (55 g) arborio rice
2 medium ripe bananas, mashed
1 tablespoon sultanas, finely chopped
1. Put the milk into a pan, add the vanilla and heat until it is just about to boil.
2. Add the rice and stir for 1 minute or until the mixture returns to the boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice is tender.
3. Stir in the bananas and sultanas. Set aside to cool slightly before serving. Serves 2-4.
